Carri Bennet of Bennet & Bennet, PLLC, received the 2007 OPASTCO Associate Member Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her work on behalf of OPASTCO and the Foundation for Rural Education and Development (FRED), and her tireless advocacy for the rural telecommunications industry. An associate member for more than a decade, Carri has provided invaluable guidance and support for the OPASTCO membership.
More recently, Carri has served as pro bono counsel for FRED for the past four years, and has served for many years on the OPASTCO Wireless and Education Committees. Bennet & Bennet also generously donates annually to OPASTCO, and Carri is a visible presence at OPASTCO’s conventions, symposia and other events. In addition, when her schedule permits, Carri travels the country to speak about the unique role of rural carriers in the greater telecommunications landscape.
Carri is married to Michael Bennet, a principal at Bennet & Bennet, and has two children. She is also an accomplished triathlete, having competed in the Ironman Triathlon.
